FAMILY RUN, SITKA BASED

Compass Rose Charters is owned and operated by Captain Ben Johnson and his sons Max and Sam.  Captain Ben is a 48- year resident of Sitka growing up fishing and hunting throughout Southeast Alaska.  Captain Ben has a USCG 100 Ton Masters License, updated safety training and the experience of working in the guide industry his entire adult career.  His local knowledge and understanding of what he calls “God’s country” is unparalleled and he will strive to make your trip the trip of a lifetime.

About OUr Boat

The Compass Rose is a 28' North River Seahawk Offshore powered by twin 150 hp Hondas and a 15 hp Honda auxiliary.  The boat is equipped with complete, modern electronics and includes a heated cabin with a standup head.  This boat is built for quick access to saltwater fishing.
